While on an R&R stopover in Zamora, Conan is ambushed and kidnapped by the mysterious Gray Wolf, most trusted warrior of Conan's twin King Conar. Arriving in King Conar’s court of Aquiloria, a kingdom in an alternate dimension, Conar makes peace with his barbaric lookalike and asks for Conan’s aid in bringing about a lasting peace between Aquiloria and neighboring Ophit. Conan accepts this task, and in so doing sets in motion a chain reaction of events that will lead the Cimmerian ultimately into a bloody confrontation with the mysterious Gray Wolf.
